Yankees eliminated in four games; Boone not worried about his job: I will still be the manager next year

In the American League Division Series Game 4, the New York Yankees fell 2-5 to the Toronto Blue Jays, resulting in a 1-3 series defeat and concluding their season. The team has been without a World Series championship for 16 straight years. Nevertheless, manager Aaron Boone expressed after the match that he is not worried about losing his position and is confident he will remain the Yankees' manager next year.

This season, the Yankees started from the Wild Card game, defeating the Red Sox 2-1 to advance to the Division Series, but lost the first two games against the Blue Jays and fell behind. Although they managed a tough win in Game 3, their offense remained weak in Game 4, scoring only 2 runs on 6 hits, ultimately losing 2-5 and ending their season early, even earlier than last year. The team has not won the World Series since 2009.

After the game, New York media directly asked Boone if he was worried about his job security, to which he shook his head and responded: "I don’t think so. I still have a contract, so I don’t expect any changes."

Since taking over the Yankees in 2018, Boone has led the team to 697 wins and 497 losses, with a postseason record of 25 wins and 27 losses, winning six series and losing six series.
