The Dodgers have a clear plan to strengthen their outfield as they pursue a third consecutive championship, with nearly 60% of fans urging the team to bring back Bellinger.

Following their first successful World Series defense in the 21st century, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ front office has clearly prioritized bolstering the bullpen and outfield to achieve a third straight title. A recent unofficial fan survey conducted by Dodgers Nation showed that 58.5% of participants hope to see Cody Bellinger rejoin the team.

The seven-game World Series battle between the Dodgers and Blue Jays exposed depth issues; Michael Conforto, who played 132 regular season games, was not even included on the postseason roster. His departure as a free agent has led fans to call for the re-signing of 2019 NL MVP Cody Bellinger.

Bellinger began his Dodgers career in 2017, immediately earning Rookie of the Year honors. Over six seasons, he posted a .258 batting average with a .819 OPS and hit 152 home runs. His peak came in 2019 when he smashed 47 homers and drove in 115 runs.

After two down years, Bellinger moved to the Chicago Cubs in 2022 and played this season with the New York Yankees. Over the past three years, his batting average has consistently ranged between .280 and .300, with this year’s stats including 29 home runs and 98 RBIs. As this powerful left-handed hitter enters free agency, Dodgers fans eagerly anticipate his return to fill the left field defensive spot.
