According to MLB.com reporter Mark Feinsand, the Yankees will call up outfielder Jasson Domínguez from Triple-A. The team has not yet confirmed this news.
The 23-year-old outfielder played 24 games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, recording an OPS of 0.893, three home runs, and eight stolen bases. Despite a standout performance in spring training, Domínguez was still sent down to the minor leagues on March 20.
With Giancarlo Stanton missing his second consecutive game today due to tightness in his right calf, Domínguez could potentially replace Stanton on the major league roster. Last season, Domínguez played 123 games for the Yankees, achieving an OPS of 0.719, hitting 10 home runs, and stealing 23 bases.
