After 60 at-bats, Shohei Ohtani hits a home run! Adjusting his stance proves effective, contributing a strong hitting performance.

Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani recorded three hits in today's game and also delivered a home run after a span of 60 at-bats. According to manager Dave Roberts, Ohtani recently noticed that his batting stance had drifted off, and correcting it immediately yielded results.

In his first at-bat today against Chicago Cubs starter Shota Imanaga, Ohtani drew a walk. In his second at-bat, he hit a single. In the bottom of the fifth inning, during his third plate appearance, he again connected against Imanaga for a hit—a double with an exit velocity of 108.8 mph and a distance of 200 feet.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Cubs had replaced Imanaga with Hoby Milner. Ohtani attacked the first pitch, driving an 85.7 mph inside sinker to left-center field for a home run. The ball had an exit velocity of 109.8 mph and traveled 382 feet.

Ohtani's hitting touch revived today: he went 3-for-4 with three hits, including a home run after 12 games and 60 at-bats, helping the team defeat the Cubs 6-0.

Dodgers manager Roberts revealed after the game that he had spoken with Ohtani a few days ago, and Ohtani noticed his stance had slightly drifted. "He precisely identified and corrected the issue, so despite a previous period of struggling, his performance these days has been outstanding."
