Malaysian badminton men's singles self Lee Zi Jia may make a comeback at the 2025 US Open Badminton Championships in June. Li Zijia, who is currently ranked 9th in the world, returned from injury to participate in the All England Badminton Super 1000 last month, and lost to Hong Kong veteran Ng Ka Long in the first round of fierce battles in 3 games.

The 27-year-old also applied for world ranking protection from the BWF. If she recovers fully in time, she is expected to make a comeback at the US Super 300 in Iowa from 24 to 29 June.
Li Zijia said a few days ago: "If I recover 100% from my injury, I hope to make a comeback at the US Open. If something feels wrong, I wouldn't rule out delaying the return. My recovery is progressing, but it's a race against time. "I've been working with the Li Zijia team and hopefully I can get back as soon as possible, but only if I'm fully recovered."
As he recovers, Lee will miss the Sudirman Cup Badminton World Mixed Team Championships in Summer Gate from 27 April to 4 May, the Singapore Open Badminton Championships from 27 May to 1 June and the Indonesia Open Badminton Championships from 3 to 8 June.
