The Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitchers are currently suffering from a number of injuries, and Blake Snell, the team's Cy Young left-handed pitcher, is one of them, and he admitted in a recent interview that he should have stopped pitching before the opening game, but he wanted to play too much to compete and want to tell everyone how good he was.
Snell signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers this year, and in his first season with the defending champions, he only played two games, and entered the injured list due to a left shoulder inflammation, and has been recuperating for nearly two months now, and still has not been able to return to the starting rotation.
However, Snell admitted in a recent media interview that he should have stopped pitching a long time ago, saying: "I should have stopped pitching before the opening day, but I really wanted to pitch, it's tough, we want to compete. You want to play, and, you know, I'm new to the Dodgers, and I just want to show everybody how good I am and what I can do."
However, Snell also said that he is no longer in pain when he concedes the ball, saying: "I haven't tried to concede a ball without pain since we were in Japan, and I'm excited to finally be able to concede the ball again and do something."
