GateballIt is an outdoor sport that combines strategy and teamwork, using a mallet to score a goal. Suitable for all ages, the rules are simple but the tactics are varied!

Players use mallets to hit balls through gates. It's easy to learn but requires strategic teamwork!





⚙️ Race equipment | Equipment

Mallet: made of wood or carbon fibre, approx. 70-90 cm in length.

Balls: 5 pieces each in red and white (1/3/5/7/9 for RED and 2/4/6/8/10 for white).

Court: 20m×15m rectangular with 3 Gates and 1 Goal Pole.




Contest Flow | Gameplay

1️⃣ Shot Sequence: Alternate hits from 1 to 10, alternating red and white.

Turn order: Red & White teams alternate hitting balls 1-10.

2️⃣ Goal: The ball must pass through 1→2→3 in order before hitting the post to score a full score (5 points).

Score by passing gates 1→2→3, then hit the Goal Pole.

3️⃣ Impact Tactics: Hit other balls to achieve "blitz" and pop the opponent's ball out of bounds!

Hit opponents' balls to remove them from the court.





Scoring Rules | Scoring System

+1 point for each passing course Each gate passed = 1 point

Hit the finish post +2 points | Hitting Goal Pole = 2 points

Full score: 5 points to exit | Players reaching 5 points exit the game.

Team Victory: The first to reach 25 points or the highest cut-off score wins!

Win by reaching 25 points first or having higher score when time ends.
