Which wings can the Lakers still pursue? Team reporter lists four major new targets and admits Wiggins remains the best option

On August 30th Beijing time, the well-known Lakers reporter Buha answered fan questions on a podcast, where a fan inquired about potential signings. The Lakers need high-quality wing players, and one fan asked:"Besides Wiggins, which ideal wing trade targets do the Lakers have?"

Buha acknowledged that suitable candidates are limited, and he mentioned four names during the show:Dillon Brooks, Royce O'Neale, Ochai Agbaji, and Matisse Thybulle. Below is Buha's analysis —

"Dillon Brooks could be a decent choice. Although his offensive decisions are questionable (such as lacking awareness in shot selection and sometimes dominating the offense to the team's detriment), the current Brooks is one of the closest 'two-way wings' the Lakers can access. He has gradually adapted to his role offensively and improved his shooting; defensively, he is tenacious, physically strong, and can guard multiple positions, all of which could benefit the Lakers."

"The key question is whether the Suns will put Brooks on the trading block. It has been mentioned before that some teams might shift strategies due to poor performance. The Suns could be one such team — I don't think they will make the play-in tournament next season, likely finishing around 11th or 12th in the West (in the same tier as the Trail Blazers and Kings), probably not exceeding 35 wins. If by December or January the Suns rank 13th or 14th in the West, they may choose to rebuild, making Brooks a possible trade asset."

"Royce O'Neale from the Suns is also an option, but his level is a step below Brooks and may not provide the Lakers with a significant upgrade. Raptors' Ochai Agbaji is worth watching, but since the Raptors might reach the play-in or even exceed expectations next season, it's uncertain whether they will trade Agbaji."

"Additionally, Matisse Thybulle from the Trail Blazers has some appeal, but there is no clear trade asset match between the Lakers and Trail Blazers. Overall, unless the Lakers are willing to trade Reaves for a top-tier wing, it's tough to find a better target than Wiggins —Wiggins remains the Lakers' best choice for a wing trade."

Which wing target do you think the Lakers are most likely to acquire? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
