This isn’t photoshopped, not photoshopped.
If you don’t focus on the face, some would actually believe it’s LeBron.
Though his face looks like an elementary school kid’s, his body is undeniably that of a muscular powerhouse.
In fact, Curry has always been sturdy; the reason people often perceive him as weak is due to his appearance and height (about 1.9 meters).
Before entering the NBA, Curry’s physical test showed he could bench press 185 pounds 10 times, ranking above average among point guards at the time. Now, he’s obviously even stronger, and calling him a heavy-duty guard is no exaggeration.
Speaking of which, the Warriors really stand out; while other teams strengthen by signing new players, the Warriors improve by having their current players evolve themselves.
So far, in terms of official signings, the Warriors have basically gained nothing during this summer’s off-season.
However, insider Shams revealed, once the stalemate with Kuminga ends, the Warriors will bring in Horford, Melton, Klay Curry, and Payton Jr.
That said, if the Warriors only add these four new players, their boost to the team’s strength will be limited, so the new season will still mainly rely on the big three: Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green.
Fortunately, the chemistry among the big three is excellent. Last season, led by them, the Warriors finished the regular season with a 48-34 record, ranking seventh in the West. They beat the Grizzlies 121-116 in the play-in game and then upset the Rockets 4-3 in the first round.
If Curry hadn’t suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1 of the second round, the Warriors might have knocked out the Timberwolves to reach the Western Conference Finals, or at least avoided a 1-4 sweep.
In short, as long as the big three stay healthy, the Warriors remain a force to be reckoned with next season. But winning the championship will be tough since all major Western rivals have upgraded to varying degrees — the reigning champs Thunder, the Rockets with Durant, and the Nuggets, Timberwolves, Mavericks, Lakers, Clippers — none are pushovers.
Curry (37), Butler (36), and Draymond Green (35) all have contracts expiring in the summer of 2027. Clearly, the championship window is closing. Together they are 108 years old, averaging 36 years per player.
What else can be said? Wishing the Warriors good luck and a smooth journey ahead.
