Is Wembanyama already 2.31 meters tall? Boban says you have to look up to him; he might become the tallest player ever

On October 15th Beijing time, former NBA player Boban discussed Wembanyama during an ESPN program. Talking about Wembanyama's height, Boban stated, "I am 2.24 meters tall, but when I look up at Wembanyama, I still can't help but wonder... how could that be?"

Famous reporter Wembhorst later said, "I think Wembanyama is nearly 2.31 meters (7 feet 7 inches)." Afterwards, reporter O'Connor reposted and said, "I've said this for a long time! Wembanyama is definitely close to 2.31 meters. I've personally seen giants like Boban and Fall, but when Wembanyama stands next to them, he towers over everyone!"

According to previous reports, the Spurs officially released new season data showing Wembanyama's latest height as 7 feet 5 inches (2.26 meters), whereas last season he was listed at 7 feet 3 inches (2.21 meters). This means, based on official figures, Wembanyama has grown 5 centimeters since entering the league.

Based on official data, Wembanyama is now the tallest active NBA player, surpassing Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey. Edey has not experienced a "second growth" and remains at 2.24 meters, the same official height as his rookie season. This height also moves Wembanyama up on the "tallest players in NBA history" list—he currently ties for sixth tallest, just behind Manute Bol and Gheorghe Mureșan (both officially 2.31 meters), as well as Yao Ming, Shawn Bradley, and Tacko Fall (all officially 2.29 meters).

Wembanyama still has the potential to grow taller. If, as reporters suggest, his actual height has reached 2.31 meters, he could ultimately become the tallest player in NBA history.
