On November 30th Beijing time, Trail Blazers center Yang Hansen visited a local Chinese family's home during Thanksgiving to enjoy turkey. Accompanying him were his girlfriend and translator Liu Yucheng. This marks another recent appearance of Yang Hansen with his girlfriend; previously, after the Trail Blazers lost to the Spurs, Yang and his girlfriend also took photos with Keldon Johnson.

In the November 24th game against the Thunder, Yang Hansen played a season-high 17 minutes and 36 seconds, but in the following two games, he was again dropped from the rotation, playing only 2 minutes 34 seconds and 1 minute 2 seconds respectively during garbage time. So far this season, Yang has appeared in 10 games, averaging 7.1 minutes, 2.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.4 blocks per game, with shooting percentages of 31.3% from the field, 8.3% from three-point range, and 87.5% from the free-throw line.
According to previous reports, 20-year-old Yang Hansen is in a younger-man-older-woman relationship with his 23-year-old girlfriend. Due to Yang's underwhelming performance in the NBA, some irrational fans have targeted his girlfriend. She responded to these comments on social media but has recently reduced her updates and no longer engages with such remarks.

As Hansen has fallen out of the rotation, media coverage about him from the Trail Blazers has decreased. However, according to Trail Blazers insider Mike Richman, Yang is expected to be sent back to the G League in early December to continue developing his game. In mid-November, Yang was assigned to the Rip City Remix, where he played two G League games, posting stats of 8 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block in one game and 21 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks in the other, averaging 14.5 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks per game.

For Hansen, who currently struggles to get playing time with the Trail Blazers, continuing to develop and improve his form in the G League may be the best option.
The head coach of the Rip City Remix holds Hansen in high regard. After the second game, he said, “Through continuous refinement in the G League, Hansen has demonstrated his versatility and potential on both ends of the floor... As a coach, I feel very proud and honored. I believe that with his ongoing effort to improve his skills, conditioning, and especially his defense, once he masters these details, he will have the opportunity to return to the NBA regular season and unleash greater potential and energy.”
