On January 9th, in the CBA regular season, Liaoning won convincingly on the road against Jiangsu with a score of 88-71, marking their third consecutive win while Jiangsu suffered their seventh straight defeat.

Jiangsu’s Jarrell scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Yan Shi added 14 points and 5 assists, and Jiang Haoran contributed 14 points; for Liaoning, Wang Lanqin put up 23 points and 5 assists, Wells posted 17 points, 4 assists, and 2 blocks, Morland recorded 14 points, 21 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks, and Yan Shouqi scored 10 points.

In the first quarter, Fu Hao completed a three-point play, and Morland showcased his offensive power by scoring five consecutive points, leading Liaoning to an 8-0 dream start. Fu Hao and Morland both scored inside, Wells made a floater, Wang Lanqin hit a long-range shot, Jarrell easily finished a put-back, and Morland along with Jiang Yuxing combined for points under the basket. Brown scored on a second-chance opportunity, Wells nailed a three-pointer, and Liaoning finished the quarter strongly, leading 28-18.

In the second quarter, Yan Shouqi scored five straight points both driving and shooting, Fu Hao made an easy layup, Morland scored on a second-chance put-back, and Wang Lanqin hit another long-range shot, extending Liaoning’s lead to 40-28. Yan Shouqi converted a fast break, Wells showed his mid-range shooting prowess, helping Liaoning maintain a firm grip on the game, leading 47-34 at halftime.

During the third quarter, Wang Lanqin scored five consecutive points from mid to long range, Morland made a layup, pushing Liaoning’s lead to 54-34, a 20-point advantage. Wang Lanqin’s inside scoring was impressive, Wells banked in a floater, Jiang Yuxing hit a three-pointer, and Wells again scored on a floater off the glass, helping Liaoning close the quarter ahead 67-51.

In the final quarter, Fu Hao easily made a layup, Li Xiaoxu scored from mid-range, Wang Lanqin and Yan Shouqi hit consecutive three-pointers, Li Huyi scored a mid-range jumper, and Wang Lanqin added another three, boosting Liaoning’s lead to 86-66, a 20-point margin. From there, Liaoning maintained control and secured the victory as expected.
