Yang Hansen took a group photo after participating in the mixing competition! Standing at the very edge, he appeared on camera with a big smile while hugging his teammate.

On January 15th, Beijing time, the G League games went on as the Torn City Mixing Team beat the Oklahoma City Blue Team 123-99. Yang Hansen was a starter, playing 31 minutes, shooting 6 out of 12 shots, missing both of his two three-point attempts, and making 5 of 6 free throws. He scored a team-high 22 points, along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks, finishing with a +21 rating. This 22-point performance was also Hansen’s personal best in the G League. After the game, he joined the traditional post-win team photo, standing at the far edge and smiling warmly while embracing a teammate beside him.

Judging by his performance in the G League, he has adapted very well to the level of competition, even playing with ease. Although he didn’t get many touches, his efficiency was quite high. Hansen only returned to Portland in the early morning, so he was clearly not at 100% condition. If there was any shortcoming in this game, it was a missed dunk, which was a bit unfortunate. Additionally, he missed one free throw despite usually being very reliable, due to the G League’s unique free throw rules. That missed dunk and free throw cost him 4 points overall.

Compared to his time with the Trail Blazers, the main difference lies in playing time. In the G League, Hansen regularly plays at least 30 minutes and has more opportunities to handle and create plays. Of course, this is also related to the level of competition in the G League. Here, Hansen is a dominant force inside, rarely facing challenges in the paint, often easily scoring with a simple spin move.

For Hansen, the goal is not just to establish himself in the G League, but to use this experience to further improve his skills and ultimately secure a stable role with the Trail Blazers, earning consistent rotation minutes and more chances on the court. Let’s wish young Yang continued progress and greater success.
