Kuminga for Wiggins! Warriors and Heat are currently negotiating a trade, with Poole likely to team up with Curry again.

On January 28th Beijing time, reporter Fischer confirmed that the Warriors and Heat are actively negotiating, having previously been working on a trade plan focused on sending Kuminga to Miami and bringing Wiggins back to Golden State.

Earlier, reporter Stein revealed that the Warriors were considering trading Kuminga to the Heat in exchange for Andrew Wiggins. Now, they have taken action and started negotiations with Miami. Since Kuminga requested a trade on January 16th, the Warriors are “undoubtedly” continuing to pursue various trade talks involving him. Even though Butler’s season-ending injury might reduce the chances of this trade, it is not completely ruled out, as Kuminga’s desire to leave the Warriors remains unchanged.

Wiggins played for the Warriors from 2020 to 2025 and was a key contributor to their 2021-2022 championship run. So far this season, he averages 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 47% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc.

With Wiggins’ strong defensive skills and improving three-point shooting, it’s easy to imagine him seamlessly fitting back alongside Curry and integrating perfectly into the Warriors’ system.

Previously, reporter Sidery disclosed that the Warriors could meet the Heat’s salary demands by trading Kuminga, Hield, and a first-round draft pick.

Wiggins, now 30 years old, is earning $28 million this season and holds a player option worth $30 million for the next season.
