
On January 31st Beijing time, during the NBA regular season, the Lakers defeated the Wizards 142-111 away from home.
For the Wizards, Brannum scored 17 points, Sall contributed 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, George had 15 points, 6 assists, and 2 blocks, Carrington added 15 points and 6 assists, Riley posted 13 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals, while Gill grabbed 9 points and 10 rebounds. On the Lakers’ side, Doncic recorded 37 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, and 3 steals, Ayton had 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks, LeBron scored 20 points with 6 assists, Hachimura contributed 11 points, and Hayes added 10 points.
In the first quarter, both teams started evenly tied at 6-6. Then the Lakers gradually asserted their dominance; after LeBron hit a three-pointer, Doncic drained two more long-range shots, Hayes relentlessly attacked the rim, followed by Doncic’s step-back three-pointer showing its power. Vanderbilt threw down a dunk, and the Lakers played impressively to close the quarter leading 41-27.

In the second quarter, LeBron and Smart hit consecutive three-pointers, helping the Lakers extend their lead to 52-32, a 20-point gap. LeBron delivered a powerful dunk, then Ayton erupted with unstoppable scoring inside. The Lakers’ outside shooting caught fire again, with Vincent and Doncic hitting back-to-back threes. The Lakers grew stronger on the court and ended the half ahead 77-48.

In the third quarter, the Doncic-LeBron duo showed their might again. LeBron threw down a spectacular alley-oop dunk, Doncic’s mid-range shooting was flawless, and he reignited his outside shooting. Hachimura’s inside-outside game was also impressive. The Lakers kept building momentum and finished the quarter leading 108-84.
In the final quarter, Ayton slammed a dunk, Vanderbilt nailed a three-pointer, Timmy easily scored under the basket, Ayton converted on a second-chance opportunity, and LeBron threw down another dunk. The Lakers led 125-95 comfortably. The remainder of the game had no suspense, turning into garbage time, with the Lakers maintaining their advantage and securing the victory as expected.
