On February 1st Beijing time, keyboard warrior KD made a reappearance! Rockets star Durant was quite surprised by the rumors linking his name to a trade involving Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks. In addition, he also replied to Dillon’s recent 40-point explosion.

A post about the Timberwolves read: “I just heard Giannis wants to come to the Timberwolves, that’s insane. Ten years ago, I would never have believed a player of that caliber would be interested in Minnesota.”

Then NBA reporter Termine shared the post, commenting: “If Giannis is willing to go to a small market like Minnesota, his determination to win a championship no matter where is truly admirable. The Timberwolves tried to get Durant during the offseason, but reportedly he only wanted to go to Houston or Miami, not Minnesota.”
Durant himself appeared in the comments and responded: “What does this have to do with me?”
Back in June 2025, when Durant’s future with the Phoenix Suns was uncertain, insider Shams had already reported that Durant had “no intention” of joining the Timberwolves.

As one of the trade assets for Durant, Dillon has been performing exceptionally this season, recently scoring a career-high 40 points in a single game. Some fans pointed out that during his time with the Suns, Dillon had one 40+ point game, more than Durant’s zero, to which Durant replied: “31K,” clearly referencing his career total of 31,736 points.

Other fans reminded him that he has never scored 60 points in a single game, and Durant responded: “Top 6.” This was clearly to inform fans that he recently entered sixth place on the NBA all-time scoring list.

Durant has openly stated that he enjoys responding to teasing posts on social media and doesn’t seem to take these criticisms too seriously. After all, he already holds two NBA championship rings and one regular season MVP award in his career.
At 37 years old, Durant is still maintaining elite “three-level scorer” status in his first season with the Rockets. In games played, he averages 26.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 51.4%, 40.8%, and 88.6% respectively.
Currently, the Rockets hold a 29-17 record, ranking fourth in the Western Conference standings.
