Dillon: James is currently the most overrated player; he should pass the torch to Doncic and Alexander.

On February 1st Beijing time, Suns player Dillon Brooks took part in a podcast where he was asked who the most overrated NBA player is currently. Dillon paused briefly before responding: "LeBron James."

Dillon said, "‘Overrated’... Let me start with my opinion, I would probably choose LeBron (James)."

The host interrupted, "He is definitely a bit older now."

Dillon went on, "Honestly. I feel he’s overrated at this point; it seems his prime is nearly over. The torch needs to be passed to the next generation of top players, like Doncic and Alexander."

The host joked, "Maybe you should mention yourself too, considering how impressive your performances have been lately (Dillon previously scored 40 points in a game), right? He is definitely older now and doesn’t run back and forth as much on the court."

Dillon added, "But on the other hand, he’s a legend, an absolute legend. You have to respect that. However, sometimes, once you step on the court and stand within those four lines, whether you’re LeBron or my grandma, you have to bring your real skills. I mean, once the whistle blows, it’s a battlefield. So no matter who you are, when you’re on the court, you have to give it your all."

It’s well known that Dillon and LeBron have always had tension; whenever they meet on the court, the atmosphere is intense. Dillon’s comment calling LeBron the most overrated player quickly went viral in the US media, and LeBron will surely see it immediately.
