On February 2nd Beijing time, according to Warriors reporter Friedell, league sources revealed that the Warriors recently assured Jimmy Butler that, given he is currently recovering from a right ACL tear, the team does not plan to trade him.

Reporters Fischer and Stein previously stated they received a “clear signal” that the Warriors’ trade offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo most likely does not include Butler. Both players earn $54.1 million this season.
Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy had earlier said he did not intend to trade Butler, who is out for the season, but this statement came before the Bucks began entertaining offers for the two-time MVP. Multiple reports indicate that Stephen Curry is the Warriors’ only untouchable player in talks surrounding Giannis. Friedell emphasized that the Warriors’ actions regarding Butler’s status speak louder than words.
If Butler is excluded from the Warriors’ offer, salary matching requirements mean four-time champion Draymond Green will most likely be included as a trade asset.Green has responded to this possibility.

“I’ve been with this team for 14 years,” Green said. “I have no reason to sit here worrying about being traded. But if it happens, that’s just part of the business side of the league. I’m not losing any sleep over it—I actually slept well last night.”
Other Warriors players admit that as the trade deadline approaches, this period is stressful for everyone.
“It’s tough for all of us,” veteran big man Al Horford said. “Especially for the younger players still trying to find their footing and prove themselves. From my experience, this pressure is everywhere at this time of year, no matter which team you’re on.”
“The atmosphere is definitely tense. We have to be understanding of everyone on the team because we’re all going through the same situation, filled with ‘what if’ thoughts. For me, once the trade deadline passes, everyone will breathe easier. The team’s pace will slow down, and you’ll see a Warriors squad playing better basketball.”

Reserve guard Melton is trying to block out all the external rumors.
“Honestly, all you can do is focus on your work,” Melton said. “Many things are beyond your control. Early in my career, a veteran told me that when the team’s superstars or core players might be traded, everyone on the roster becomes available. No one is special in the face of the team’s overall plan.”
