On February 5th Beijing time, during the NBA regular season, the Spurs secured a 116-106 home victory over the Thunder, giving them a commanding 4-1 advantage in their five encounters this season.
In the first quarter, the Spurs used Wembanyama as their offensive focal point and gained solid results. Following successful three-pointers by Keldon and Vassell, the Spurs built an impressive 21-11 lead. The Thunder’s shooters also found their rhythm, with Yabrlad and Wiggins hitting consecutive long-range shots to narrow the gap to just 2 points. Keldon and Bryant responded with threes, sparking another Spurs run, and they finished the quarter leading 39-26.

In the second quarter, McLaughlin and Barnes hit three consecutive three-pointers, while Castle aggressively attacked the basket. The Spurs then unleashed a sharp barrage of threes, with Bryant, Wembanyama, and Champagnie all catching fire, hitting four three-pointers in a row. The Spurs maintained their dominance on the court, leading 73-58 at halftime.

During the third quarter, the Thunder pushed to catch up, with Jalen Williams and Kenrich Williams hitting back-to-back threes. Thanks to their sharp shooting, the Thunder closed the score to 75-84. However, without Alexander, the Thunder lacked energy at crucial moments. Keldon’s long-range shot helped the Spurs stop the bleeding in time, and Fox’s consecutive points at the end of the quarter helped the Spurs finish ahead 95-85.
In the final quarter, Jalen Williams, Barnheiser, and Wallace kept firing from outside, helping the Thunder cut the score to 98-104 and regain hope. Yet, the Spurs consistently maintained a lead of at least six points, preventing the Thunder from closing the gap. Ultimately, the Spurs successfully held onto their advantage and secured the win as expected.
