On February 7th Beijing time, The Athletic reported that the Bulls and Hornets have agreed to modify the trade terms for Cody White. The earlier medical exam showed that the guard, who has played in the league for seven years, suffered a left calf injury and will be sidelined for multiple games.

The NBA's official injury report classifies White's injury as a left calf strain, and his return date remains uncertain.
The original trade deal involved the Hornets sending three second-round picks to the Bulls, specifically including the lower of the 2029 Nuggets or Hornets second-round pick, the 2031 Nuggets second-round pick, and the 2031 Knicks second-round pick. However, according to reports, the Hornets will keep the 2029 second-round pick and instead send two second-round picks in 2031 to Chicago.
Insider Siegel reported that the Hornets still intend to complete the trade and believe the injury is not severe enough to cancel the deal.

Sources reveal that because the Hornets were unaware of White's calf injury before the physical, they have the right to alter the trade terms.
White, who will turn 26 later this month, played in 11 of the Bulls' last 12 games before being traded to the Hornets. However, Hornets' basketball operations president Peterson stated that due to the calf injury, White is likely to miss games until after the All-Star Weekend.
So far this season, White has appeared in 29 games, averaging 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
Similar issues with physicals have occurred before; the most notable recent case was the Lakers canceling their trade with the Hornets, returning their center Mark Williams.
