On February 10th Beijing time, the Golden State Warriors revealed that forward Jimmy Butler underwent successful surgery earlier today in Los Angeles. Butler tore his right knee ACL during the January 20th match versus the Miami Heat.

The operation was led by Dr. Bert Mandelbaum, who reconstructed the torn ACL. Butler has missed the last nine games and will be sidelined for the rest of the 2025-26 season, starting rehabilitation immediately. He is expected to make a full recovery, with updates on his progress to be provided early next season.
This season, Butler played in 38 games (all starts), averaging 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.5 steals over 31.1 minutes per game. Since being traded to the Warriors on February 7, 2025, until his injury on January 20, 2026, the team held a 48-win record, ranking fourth in the NBA during that period, trailing only the Oklahoma City Thunder (63 wins), Boston Celtics (51 wins), and Detroit Pistons (49 wins).
A 15-year NBA veteran, Butler has played in 907 career games (802 starts), averaging 18.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals in 33.0 minutes per game. He has played for the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, and Golden State Warriors. Originally, he was selected 30th overall by the Bulls in the 2011 NBA Draft after spending three years at Marquette University.
