Gilgeous-Alexander was not listed on the official injury report for Friday's matchup against the Denver Nuggets and will be available to play for the defending champions, who posted a 5-4 record during his absence.
Since Gilgeous-Alexander sustained an injury in a February 3 win over Orlando the Thunder's lead at the top of the Western Conference has been reduced to two games by the San Antonio Spurs, who entered Thursday riding a 10-game winning streak.
Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.8 points, 6.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game and remains a top contender to win the MVP award again.
Oklahoma City will continue to be without Jalen Williams and a key reserve player Ajay Mitchell.
However, Gilgeous-Alexander's return will provide a tremendous lift for a team that began Wednesday's game against the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit without four of its top scorers: Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams, Mitchell, and center Chet Holmgren.
Isaiah Hartenstein was also unavailable, and Isaiah Joe along with Branden Carlson left the game early due to injuries as Detroit established a large lead and secured the victory.
Holmgren, Hartenstein, and Joe are also anticipated to be available for the game against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.
