On February 28th Beijing time, the Trail Blazers officially updated their injury report, which no longer includes Yang Hansen's name. This indicates his back soreness issue has subsided. However, even if Hansen is on the active roster, his playing time outlook remains uncertain.

The Trail Blazers' latest injury report shows that for tomorrow's game against the Hornets, Lillard, Love, and Sharpe are out; Avdija is listed as doubtful due to back injury management; and the ill Clingan is questionable. Both Yang Hansen and Robert Williams are not on the injury list. Williams posted a well-rounded stat line of 14 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in the previous game, while Hansen was a DNP and did not get any playing time.

Trail Blazers reporter Richman stated on a recent podcast: "Robert Williams returned to the lineup after missing a game with right foot soreness. I think that's very positive news for him—not only was he available, but he played quite well. Yang Hansen was also on the active list but didn't play, which wasn't surprising. The Trail Blazers are emphasizing a small-ball lineup, and the Bulls' roster is also quite undersized, so it was unlikely Hansen would get minutes in this game anyway. The good news is, at least he's available if the team needs him, and he's clearly traveling with the team on this road trip, ready to be used whenever necessary."

Previously, the Trail Blazers head coach commented on Yang Hansen before the game against the Bulls, saying: "Hansen's body has changed—his physique, his muscle mass, he's leaner and stronger now. He's learning English, adapting to the NBA pace, studying our system, learning how opponents play, and figuring out how to become an effective contributor. All of this takes time. For a player like him, the culture, language, intensity of basketball, and game speed are all major shocks. So we have to be patient with him. He's on the right track. He'll get some playing time here and there. I know external expectations are high, but we're doing our best to provide him with the best platform to succeed in this league. People can have expectations, but they also must remain patient."
When discussing the pressure on Yang Hansen, Splitter said: "It's not easy. He's very young, in a foreign country. It takes time. I can relate from my own experience: I also went to different countries like him, though I was a bit older and more mature. He just has to face these challenges earlier and find his own way to adapt. That's part of the job."
