Too bad! Jokic responds to the dirty foul! Latest MVP rankings released.

It was so fierce, when have we ever seen Jokic this angry.

In the final quarter, Dort wildly used cheap shots, a shoulder charge + sweeping leg directly took down Jokic, who immediately became furious and got up to fight.

Seeing Dort "at a disadvantage," Thunder forward Jaylin Williams came to support, then got into an intense physical entanglement with Jokic.

Ultimately, the referees called a flagrant foul 2 on Dort, ejecting him, while Jokic & Jaylin Williams each received a technical foul.

After the game, Jokic responded to Dort's dirty foul against him, stating: "That was an unnecessary move, and it was a reaction I had to have. Such things shouldn't happen on the basketball court."

Returning to the game, the Nuggets narrowly lost 121-127 to the Thunder on the road, concluding a spectacular and intensely competitive clash between top teams.

In this game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned after a 9-game absence, shooting 12 for 29 from the field, posting comprehensive stats of 36 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, with a plus-minus of +16.

Jokic was also inefficient, shooting 9 for 25, contributing a triple-double of 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 14 assists on 36% shooting.

It is worth noting that, since returning from injury at the end of January this year, Jokic has played 12 games, during which the Nuggets went 5-7; conversely, in his absence, the team went 10-6.

So far this season, Jokic is averaging 28.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 10.5 assists, and 1.4 steals, with the Nuggets at 37-23, fourth in the West; Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.3 steals, with the Thunder at 46-15, leading the West.

The latest MVP rankings released by NBA.com show Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continuing to hold the top spot, followed closely by Jokic, Cade Cunningham in third, Victor Wembanyama fourth, and Luka Dončić fifth., Jaylen Brown sixth, Donovan Mitchell seventh, Jalen Brunson eighth, Anthony Edwards ninth, Kawhi Leonard tenth.

It seems that, barring any surprises, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will win his second career MVP trophy this year. After all, both his individual stats and team record are impeccable, leaving almost no reason for him to be overlooked.
