Happy 38th Birthday to Curry! He claims retirement is still not considered, and his favorite praise comes from opponents.

On March 15 Beijing time, Warriors star Stephen Curry celebrated his 38th birthday. He has been playing in the NBA for many years, which is well known. However, retirement is currently not within his consideration.

In an interview with The Athletic, Curry stated that ultimately, his body will tell him when it's time to leave.

"I feel the body gives the first signal," he said. "Everything required to prepare for a game now is vastly different from ten years ago."

Nevertheless, Curry expressed that his passion for basketball remains strong.

"When I step onto the court, I still immerse myself in the joy," he said. "This remains my happy place. All the effort is worthwhile because I can still compete at the highest level."

At 38, Curry added that his competitive drive and pursuit of meaningful goals continue to motivate him.

"Competition, camaraderie among teammates, chasing significant achievements," he said. "These still inspire me. And I don’t foresee this passion fading anytime soon." Curry also joked that one of his favorite compliments comes from defenders who exhaust themselves chasing him.

"Someone defending me at the free-throw line might say, 'Hey, stop moving around so much.' I’ve always been quite proud of that."

His father, former NBA player Dell Curry, once offered a simple life philosophy that has guided Curry's career:

"Play as long as you can, and then play one more year."

So far this season, Curry has played 39 games for the Warriors, averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 46.8%, a three-point percentage of 39.1%, and a free-throw percentage of 93.1%. He is currently recovering from an injury and has missed 16 consecutive games.
