On April 4 Beijing time, according to US media Clutchpoints, rumors surrounding trades involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo were rampant before the NBA trade deadline. The Warriors were once rumored to be deeply involved, hoping to pair Giannis with Curry. The latest news indicates that the Warriors even drafted a trade plan, intending to send Draymond Green to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Reporter Siegel revealed that the Warriors were going all-in to pursue Giannis at that time, not only willing to offer young assets and future draft picks, but also once proposed to the Lakers a deal to trade Green for a future protected draft pick.
Siegel stated: "The Warriors offered a highly sincere package to acquire Giannis before the trade deadline, including all future draft picks, young players like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody, and also planned to trade Draymond to acquire an additional draft pick. However, the Bucks indicated they had no intention of trading away this superstar forward at that time. Sources said the Warriors had drafted a proposal to send Draymond to the Lakers in exchange for a future protected draft pick."
Clearly, after planning to send a massive package to the Bucks for Giannis, the Warriors intended to replenish draft assets by trading Draymond to the Lakers. Of course, this trade ultimately did not happen, and Draymond remains with the Warriors.

If this trade had materialized, it would have been a significant move for the Lakers. Draymond joining forces with LeBron James and Luka Dončić would provide the Lakers with much-needed defensive intensity. Additionally, this 36-year-old forward's excellent passing ability could add an organizational hub to the Lakers' offense.
So far this season, Draymond averages 8.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 41.7% and a three-point percentage of 32.7%.
