Are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown involved in a three-team trade? The Bucks superstar is eyeing the Celtics and Heat, while teams like the Rockets are interested in Brown.

On May 26, rumors linking Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Celtics star Jaylen Brown to a potential three-team trade have grown stronger, with several teams also said to be involved. Stein reports that the Celtics and Heat are Giannis’ top choices. Insider sources say the Hawks, Rockets, and Trail Blazers have shown interest in Brown.

Stein added that Giannis prefers to stay in the East. However, he has a close personal relationship with former head coach Jason Kidd, which previously made the Mavericks a consideration. Kidd coached the two-time MVP during his tenure with the Bucks, but Dallas parted ways with Kidd last Wednesday. Even so, Stein noted that the Mavericks have long held significant appeal for Giannis.

Giannis has spent all 13 seasons of his career with the Bucks, but his long-term future with the team became uncertain during the 2025-26 season. Reporter Shams revealed last December that Giannis and his agent had discussions with Bucks management about whether he would remain or seek a new team.

Shams added that leading up to the February 6 trade deadline, the Bucks indeed received multiple offers for Giannis but ultimately chose to keep him. The Bucks finished the regular season with a 32-50 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

On the other side, Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady believes that the Celtics’ first-round playoff collapse—blowing a 3-1 lead against the Philadelphia 76ers—left Brown dissatisfied with the team.

Notably, Brown stated during a live broadcast on May 7, “I love Boston.” He also admitted that if it were up to him, he would be willing to play there for another ten years.

Despite this, the Celtics remain interested in pursuing Giannis to pair him with core forward Jayson Tatum, aiming to advance further in the playoffs next season.
