Finals MVP odds updated! Wembanyama leads, Brunson second, Towns third, Castle fifth.

As of June 1 Beijing time, the Finals MVP odds have been updated, with Spurs star Victor Wembanyama leading and Knicks star Jalen Brunson ranking second. A total of 12 players from both teams are on the list, with the specific rankings as follows—

1. Wembanyama (-190), 2. Brunson (+225), 3. Towns (+2000), 4. Anunoby (+5000), 5. Castle (+7500), 6. Fox (+8000), 7. Hart and Bridges (+10000), 9. Harper (+12500), 10. Vassell (+20000), 11. Keldon Johnson (+50000), 12. Mitchell Robinson (+75000)

Wembanyama was named Western Conference Finals MVP, while Brunson earned the Eastern Conference Finals MVP. The Knicks swept the Cavaliers to advance, making Brunson's path relatively smooth; on the other hand, Wembanyama's Spurs were down 3-2 at one point, then won Game 6 at home and took Game 7 in Oklahoma City to narrowly escape.

In the Western Conference Finals series, Wembanyama averaged 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game, shooting 48.1% from the field, 40% from three, and 89.5% from the free-throw line. Brunson averaged 25.5 points and 7.8 assists in the Eastern Conference Finals, with an impressive 78.7% field goal percentage.

From the initial odds, it is clear that aside from Wembanyama and Brunson, the chances for other players to win the award are minimal. Towns ranks third, but he will find it difficult to surpass Brunson offensively, so his likelihood of winning FMVP is low. Instead, Anunoby is a potential dark horse for Finals MVP, as he has also switched onto Wembanyama multiple times. On the Spurs' side, besides Wembanyama, Castle is the player considered most likely.

Which team do you think will win the championship? And who will take home the FMVP? Feel free to leave your comments.
