On June 8, Beijing time, after the Warriors concluded their season, rumors about their offseason moves have been rampant. With head coach Steve Kerr's extension secured, the team intends to center its roster construction around two-time MVP Stephen Curry. Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are considered possible acquisitions.

Earlier, NBA reporter Chris Siegel reported that Curry plans to meet with James this summer to persuade him to join the Warriors. Additionally, Golden State has another plan to attract James: bringing in his most compatible former teammate, Anthony Davis.
Bleacher Report recently proposed a mock trade: the Warriors would send Jimmy Butler, this year's No. 11 pick, and a 2030 first-round pick swap to the Wizards in exchange for Davis. Given Davis's injury history, this deal carries significant risk, but when the Warriors acquired Kristaps Porziņģis in February, that move was also controversial—and Porziņģis's potential is considered inferior to Davis's.

The Wizards gave up two first-round picks and other assets to land Davis in February; whether they would now accept a package centered around a late lottery pick is uncertain. However, if the Warriors successfully sign the ten-time All-Star and three-time blocks leader, it would undoubtedly boost their chances of recruiting James.
U.S. media suggests the Warriors could pull off one of the boldest moves of this offseason. They hope Davis will not only fill a roster gap but also serve as a key element in luring James. Previous reports indicate that the Warriors could offer James a contract worth around $15 million (mid-level exception) per year.
Would you be excited to see such a combination? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
