It's settled, the dust has settled.
Newsbreaker Shams:Splitter will be the new head coach of the Bulls; the specific contract terms have yet to be revealed, but it surpasses what the Trail Blazers offered.According to earlier reports, the Trail Blazers owner was willing to pay only $1 million for the head coach role.

Last season, Splitter stepped in as interim head coach for the Trail Blazers, replacing Billups. He led the team to a 42-40 regular-season record, securing the eighth seed in the West. They advanced to the playoffs through the play-in tournament but were eliminated in the first round by the second-seeded Spurs, losing 1-4.

As for the next Trail Blazers head coach, the candidates are Timberwolves assistant coach Micah Nori and Celtics assistant coach Tyler Lashbrook.

Some say that with Splitter leaving, Yang Hanshen's prospects are brightening. However, that statement may be premature. Perhaps the new Trail Blazers coach's philosophy will be even "less popular with Chinese fans" than Splitter's. Only time will tell.

Yang Hanshen, selected as the 16th pick in the first round of the 2025 draft, had a tough rookie season. He spent most of his time playing in the G League. In the regular season, he appeared in 43 games with one start, averaging 7 minutes per game, scoring 2.2 points and grabbing 1.5 rebounds, with shooting percentages of 31%, 11.9%, and 82.4% from the field, three-point, and free-throw lines, respectively. This year, he played in four playoff games, averaging 1.3 minutes and failing to score.
