The dust has settled.
Shams, the insider king:The Bucks send Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Heat, receiving Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Matas Jakucionis, three first-round picks, one first-round pick swap, and one second-round pick.
A 9-for-2, historic blockbuster trade.

The Celtics indeed made an offer for Giannis, featuring Jaylen Brown and two first-round picks, but the Bucks ultimately went with Miami's package.

Although he won't be swapping teams with Giannis to bring his talent to Milwaukee, Jaylen Brown—the Finals MVP forward—likely has no future with the Celtics. After all, Brown is a five-time All-Star in his prime, and being openly shopped around doesn't exactly sit well with him, does it?

Getting back on track, the Heat's potential starting five next season would be: Mitchell + Powell + Wiggins + Giannis + Adebayo.
The bench lineup would be: Dru Smith + Larsson + Fontecchio + Jovic + Portis.
So this revamped Miami squad might just have a real chance to teach the newly crowned champion Knicks a tough lesson, then charge straight to the Finals and even the championship.

It's worth noting that Giannis' current contract has two years remaining, with the 2027-28 season being a player option.Starting in January next year, he could sign a four-year, $275 million supermax extension with the Heat, or opt into his player option next summer and sign a three-year, $214 million deal with Miami, with an average annual salary exceeding $70 million.

In his past Bucks career, Giannis—selected 15th overall in the 2013 draft—spent 13 seasons with the team, posting regular-season averages of 24.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks on 55.4/28.5/69.1% shooting; in the playoffs, he averaged 27.0 points, 12.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.3 blocks on 53.2/25.9/62.5% shooting.

As for accolades, Giannis achieved a grand slam in Milwaukee: one championship and one Finals MVP, two MVPs, one Most Improved Player award, one Defensive Player of the Year, nine All-NBA selections, five All-Defensive Team honors, ten All-Star appearances, and one NBA Cup championship with one NBA Cup MVP, among others.

So long, and may each find their own peace.
