In short, despite being 36 years old, Holiday is still very capable. Once he enters free agency, he will definitely be chased by championship contenders. His current contract runs until the summer of 2028, with a total salary of $72 million over the next two seasons. He currently holds two championship rings and two Olympic gold medals, has been selected to the All-Star team twice, and has been named to the All-Defensive Team five times, among other accolades.

Leaving the Trail Blazers is not a bad thing for Holiday. If he stays, he won't see any hope of winning a championship next season, and he will have to compete for playing time and ball possession with Morant, Lillard, Sharpe, and Henderson.
