Chris Paul has reached an agreement to return to the Los Angeles Clippers for what is likely his final NBA season.

Paul was with the Clippers for six seasons from 2011 to 2017, during which he arguably played his best basketball. In 409 games, he averaged 18.8 points, 9.8 assists, and 4.2 rebounds, earning five All-NBA Team selections and six All-Defensive Team honors.

The free agent will return to the franchise after spending the last season with the San Antonio Spurs, as he became the first player in history to play all 82 games in their 20th season or later.

Despite recently turning 40, Paul remained a reliable player for the Spurs, continuing to excel as a playmaker and finishing the season with nearly five times as many assists as turnovers.

Regarded as one of the greatest point guards ever, Paul recorded 4,023 assists with the Clippers—the highest in franchise history. He also boasts 12,499 assists and 2,717 steals throughout his career, ranking him second all-time in both categories.
