Since the first phase only allows a maximum of 710 limited-time tokens, many players who continuously use the advanced river lantern will have reached about half of the token cap—around 355 tokens—after completing all tasks. It’s time to consider which game rewards to redeem, especially whether to get the new Xishi Dreamweaver skin.

When to redeem

If your frequently used hero is Xishi or your main lane is the mid lane, it’s generally recommended to redeem the Xishi Dreamweaver bundle. Firstly, this skin is a collaboration with the Lord of Mysteries and boasts high quality and unique effects that differ from most Xishi skins. Its effects have a distinct Western style with exotic colors, making it a worthwhile acquisition.

Secondly, the Xishi Dreamweaver is offered as a bundle in the limited-time token shop, costing 710 tokens for the skin plus a key, which is quite a good deal. Most importantly, this is a limited-time offer—if you miss it, there won’t be any free opportunities later. Unlike some skins that return in free events, this one will become a permanently limited direct-sale skin. So it’s best not to miss this chance. Of course, players aiming to collect all skins don’t need to hesitate.

When not to redeem

If you rarely or never play Xishi, redeeming this skin isn’t very meaningful. It’s better to use your limited-time tokens to get skins you will actually use. Xishi requires a certain level of skill and game sense, so if you don’t play her often, the Shiyu Jiangnan skin will suffice. Although this skin isn’t available in the skin fragment shop, it often appears in many free epic skin giveaways in Honor of Kings, so many players have already obtained it for free.

Currently, the known total of limited-time tokens is only 810, which isn’t enough to redeem any epic skin. However, the official announcement confirmed that more tokens will be given later, though the amount is unknown. Therefore, it’s worth considering redeeming another epic skin. Legendary skins are also an option, but their cost-effectiveness is generally lower than epics.

Xiaodi has also gathered some advanced river lantern codes, with a total of 20 uses available. If you haven’t used the river lantern yet, feel free to redeem them as needed—first come, first served!
