This week, King of Glory released Luban No.7’s Year of the Tiger limited skin, Tiger Flame Heart, a Star Legend skin. Compared to before, the way to get it is more convenient since it only costs 3000 star coins to redeem directly. It’s worth noting that another Year limited Star Legend skin, Galo’s Year of the Pig limited skin Crimson Maple, required wishing draws to obtain. However, I still don’t recommend most players to redeem this one. Why is that?

Original skin not returning this time

Because the full set of five Year of the Tiger limited skins was just re-released for direct purchase recently, the original Luban No.7 Year of the Tiger limited skin Tiger Flame was not reissued alongside the new Star Legend skin. Keep in mind that all star-themed skins require owning the original skin to use them, and Star Legend skins are no exception. For players who don’t have the original Tiger Flame skin, although the Star Legend Tiger Flame Heart looks great, it cannot be used in matches after redemption. Since the original skin’s next re-release timing is unknown, it’s better not to redeem it yet.

This Star Legend skin is not limited-time

According to the official announcement, only the launch time is mentioned with no removal date, which means Tiger Flame Heart is not a limited-time Star Legend skin. Therefore, there’s no rush to redeem it. From recent official updates, star coin exchange items update quite frequently. The new season introduced Angela’s Star Epic skin Time Fantasy for 1800 star coins, then Liu Bei’s past Star Legend skin became permanently available for 3000 star coins, and now Luban No.7’s skin also requires 3000 star coins. This adds up to a considerable amount. Since players can only steadily earn about twenty to thirty star coins daily, some permanent items can be postponed. I suggest waiting until you really want a star-themed skin before exchanging.

Too many skin choices for Luban No.7

Luban No.7 currently holds the record for the most skins among male heroes in King of Glory, with as many as eleven skins. This means Luban No.7 has a very rich selection of skins. Although the Year of the Tiger limited skin has nice effects, it is not particularly outstanding among Luban No.7’s skins. High-quality skins like Time Journey and Detective Conan are very good, and there is also a classic arcade kid skin, which is effectively legendary quality and can be obtained for free. Many players like it, so when star coins are relatively scarce, it’s reasonable to hold off on redeeming this skin for now.

Of course, the above analysis is only for players who are still hesitant. For loyal Luban No.7 fans and collectors, it’s definitely worth considering without hesitation.
