Hello everyone, I’m Game Brother Xiao.
Previously, I shared the latest battle pass comparison of the King of Lanling Nuoshi skin. This episode continues with another epic skin from the latest battle pass, the Leicio Guangge Starry Sky skin. Let’s check how it stacks up against Leicio’s other epic skin, Metal Slug.
In terms of poster presentation, the difference between the two skins isn’t very large; both meet normal standards. However, visually, after official optimization, the Guangge Starry Sky skin has seen a significant improvement in appearance, while the Metal Slug’s looks remain less impressive, especially the facial decoration design, which could use further refinement.
Regarding modeling, I personally prefer the new skin, Guangge Starry Sky. On one hand, it looks clearer visually, possibly due to a higher level of modeling detail; on the other hand, its overall design is cleaner or simpler. Metal Slug appears bulkier because of many sci-fi mech halo elements. Additionally, Guangge Starry Sky seems taller, even when leaning slightly, it appears noticeably taller than Metal Slug.
The Guangge Starry Sky skin’s effects are generally similar to last year’s Yalian skin, mainly featuring elements closely related to the KWC tournament. For example, the triangular shapes frequently appearing in the effects are actually shaped like the KWC team’s participation key; also, the purple-gold color scheme matches the core colors used in the KWC event. Overall, the effects are decent but somewhat simple and lack a wow factor.
The Metal Slug skin’s effects are mainly inspired by another skin from the game of the same name, essentially a collaboration. It has many detailed features, such as the “H” symbol appearing at the bottom when Leicio ascends, derived from the collaborating game’s iconic symbol; also, after releasing the second skill, a grid-like effect appears as it fades, enhancing the tech feel. Overall, the effects are relatively simple, but the ultimate skill’s display is quite impressive and energetic.
Although the two skins’ effects differ in color and elements, their overall feel is quite similar. Do you feel the same? Notably, the new Guangge Starry Sky skin has a unique feature when activating the first skill: a crown-like shape rises from the head, and Leicio performs an excited gesture. This seems exclusive to this skin, as the Metal Slug skin only displays a blue glow over the entire body when using the first skill.
That’s all for now. If you liked it, please give a thumbs up to support. If you have any thoughts, questions, or want to see something else, leave a comment below—I’ll be reading them all~
