If you can't afford to give it away, then don't! The flaws of the King Star Coin exchange event are fully exposed? 430 Star Coins can't even buy a recall effect.

Hello everyone, I'm Xiao Di from Gaming.

This week, King launched the "Star Coin Exchange" event in the game. Initially, players were quite happy because it meant they could get Star Coins, a game currency, for free. Since its revamp into Star Coins, its value has significantly increased, but there aren't many ways to obtain it. So, limited-time events often appear in the game. However, this particular event is really hard to praise—it's full of flaws.

The event rules are extremely complex.

After reading the official announcement, Xiao Di realized how complicated this event is. Let me briefly explain. These Star Coins require players to exchange them using other in-game resources from their accounts, including gold coins, diamonds, and hero fragments. The exchange prices are not fixed and refresh randomly daily, categorized into red, gold, purple, and blue tiers with probabilities of 2%, 2.5%, 37.5%, and 58% respectively. The required amounts range from low to high. In summary, blue tier is a loss, purple tier is a small loss, gold tier is a small gain, and red tier is a huge gain.

Additionally, there are extra rules. Playing one match daily grants a chance to refresh the prices, which expire and reset; if you get red or gold tier prices, you can share them with friends, up to 5 players can use them, and the sharing player receives 10 Star Coins.

The event rewards are pitifully low.

With such complex rules, almost comparable to events giving away skins or limited-time vouchers, how many rewards can you actually get from this event? The answer is a total of 430 Star Coins (including 10 from sharing, with up to 420 from exchange), and there's a daily limit of 60 Star Coins, shared across all three currencies.

The purchasing power of Star Coins currently isn't high. For example, Star Legend skins require 3000 Star Coins, Star Epic skins need 1800, and some common Yuanliu Zishi sets cost 450 Star Coins. Even common purple-tier recall effects and trails require 450 Star Coins. Only broadcasts and emoticons are relatively cheaper. This means after all the effort in this event, you can't even afford a purple recall effect or trail, let alone Star Epic or Star Legend skins. Therefore, it's not surprising many players complain: if you can't afford to give it away, then don't. It's indeed quite disappointing.

However, for veteran players with abundant account resources, since these items are often surplus and unusable, and cannot be exchanged for other items, converting them into Star Coins is acceptable. Moreover, due to large quantities, like millions of gold coins, there's no need to chase red tier prices—direct exchange is fine. For instance, even at the highest blue-tier price of 6000 gold coins for 10 Star Coins, 420 Star Coins would only cost 252,000 gold coins, which is no pressure at all—just max it out.

That's all for this content. If you found it helpful, please give a like to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave a comment below—I'll read them all.

No game unknown, no matter unexplored; I'm Xiao Di, here for a cheerful chat!
