Hello everyone, I'm game enthusiast Xiao Di.
By now, you should know that Honor of Kings is about to introduce the "Hero Destiny" system. Simply put, it allows new versions of existing heroes to be released, similar to concepts like standard cards and shiny cards. In fact, this approach isn't new, as other games have already implemented it.

The first hero to kick off the "Hero Destiny" system is Sun Wukong, and the new version introduced based on him is Liu'er, designed as Sun Wukong's inner demon. I believe everyone already knows about the skills, so I won't go into details here. What I mainly want to discuss is which heroes should be prioritized for unlocking a "second persona" after the system launches.

In Xiao Di's opinion, Li Xin is a hero perfectly suited for the "Hero Destiny" system. In the game, Li Xin already combines two forms—the Light form and the Rage form—with a well-established dual identity in the backstory. Moreover, since Li Xin's release, it has been difficult to achieve a perfect balance between the two forms. Players either stick entirely with the Rage form or the Light form, failing to smoothly switch between the two in gameplay. Therefore, it might be better to use the "Hero Destiny" system to split him into two separate heroes.

Kai is actually the first original hero in Honor of Kings, and he is also highly compatible with the "Hero Destiny" system. Why do I say that? Last year, Honor of Kings released an animated series about Kai, along with his Divine Punishment skin in the game. From the story in the animation, it is clear that Kai's current possession of the demon armor is a result of later circumstances, and he is suffering from amnesia, mainly spending time with the Great Wall Guard, including Hua Mulan and the Bai brothers. However, in his earlier days, Kai was actually part of the Sunset Sea faction, alongside Luna and others. So, it would be quite interesting to use the "Hero Destiny" system to introduce an early version of Kai.

If you've paid attention to Ying's backstory, you'll know that her current form is actually the dark version. She was once named Jing, a warrior of the Yu tribe and the Eastern Lord among the Nine Divine Witches of Yunmeng Marsh. She later died in battle while resisting foreign enemies and was resurrected under the name Ying. In the official comics, she has an early appearance that is completely different from now—mostly white with wings. In Xiao Di's personal opinion, this is an excellent material for the "Hero Destiny" system and fits perfectly.
Of course, the three heroes mentioned above are all considered from a backstory perspective, especially those with distinct contrasts between their early and later forms. Besides them, heroes like Da Ji, for whom the developers once designed a fox form, and Gan Jiang and Mo Ye, who are already a duo, also seem suitable for the "Hero Destiny" system. The possibilities are almost endless. So, which other heroes do you think would be a good fit?

That's all for now. If you found this interesting, feel free to leave a like to show your support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave your comments below, and I'll check them out!
