Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.

Recently, King of Chess has gained a lot of attention, and many new players have joined. The first thing they consider is what lineup to play. Generally, people recommend the Big River Totem flow, Three-Point Debut flow, etc. But based on my own experience, these are still a bit too complicated. After all, beginners are not that familiar with these effects. So the most suitable lineup for beginners is the simpler and easier to understand, the better. Therefore, Chang Xiao'e's "Sea, Land, and Air" Si Kongzhen lineup is actually very suitable for new players. Let me first introduce the gameplay, and later explain in detail why this playstyle is more suitable for beginners.

Chang Xiao'e Sea, Land, and Air Si Kongzhen

The chess player is obviously Chang Xiao'e. Her effect is actually very simple: each round, you can consume 1 energy to use Xiaotu's Boost, which randomly boosts one hero by 2 levels, and each time you boost, the next boost increases by an additional level.

The specific gameplay is: at the start of the game, choose a first-tier Su Lie and use one Xiaotu Boost to increase his level. Since there is only this hero, Su Lie will definitely be boosted to level 3. Normally, you can win the first round, but even if you lose, it's fine because Su Lie has a sacrifice effect: each time he dies, he gains 2 levels.

That is to say, if you lose the first battle, with two Xiaotu Boosts and Su Lie's sacrifice effect, by the second round Su Lie can reach level 7, even without awakening. This is already a considerable leveling speed. At the same time, it's recommended to pick up a Yi Xing to prepare for subsequent upgrades. When Yi Xing is on the field, you can gain extra shop experience. As for Su Lie, if you win, you can consider getting cards to awaken him; if you lose, prioritize saving energy to level up.

After getting Yi Xing, don't put him on the field immediately, because Xiaotu Boost might target him. In the first few rounds, always use it on Su Lie. You can save more energy and level up several times at once, then sell Yi Xing. During the auction, prioritize getting Pei Qinhu. If you don't get him, level up to around 4 and then get Pei Qinhu. Pei Qinhu's effect is to gain half of the field hero's level as a temporary level. In the early to mid game, he will basically only get Su Lie's level. Since you've been feeding Su Lie early, Pei Qinhu can start with a relatively high level.

After that, continue using Xiaotu Boost to randomly increase levels, then save energy to reach level 5. In the auction, it's best to get Si Kongzhen or Hai Yue/Jiang Ziya (choose one). If you obtain the secret skill card "Xiaotu Songfu" by reaching 50/150/375 total hero levels, it's recommended to keep it until Si Kongzhen is on the field, because this secret skill card can boost four heroes' levels, and usually by more than 10 levels.

Si Kongzhen's effect is: when other heroes gain temporary levels, Si Kongzhen also gains half of that temporary level, not exceeding double his own real level. Hai Yue and Jiang Ziya are mainly for auxiliary damage; prioritize Hai Yue, whose effect is that when she dies, she can almost achieve a one-for-one trade.

At this point, the lineup is basically formed. This playstyle only needs four heroes. The core is Pei Qinhu gaining temporary levels, then Si Kongzhen correspondingly gains temporary levels. You can even have Pei Qinhu gain Si Kongzhen's temporary levels, and then Si Kongzhen gains temporary levels through Pei Qinhu, thereby increasing overall combat power. The core is Si Kongzhen; you can prioritize giving him equipment that adds magic attack.

Why is it suitable for beginners?

First, there are no complicated effects. For example, the Debut flow requires constantly buying and selling heroes, especially the more complex Three-Point Reversal, which uses up all the time in a game with constant operations, and sometimes you can't finish everything. For new players, it's too tiring. This playstyle only has four heroes, relatively simple, and doesn't require frequent buying/selling or other operations. Even the mechanic terms only need you to understand temporary levels. The overall effect is not complicated.

Second, generally, once you get Pei Qinhu, you already have decent combat power. Later, when you get Si Kongzhen, the lineup's strength increases rapidly, and it can crush most lineups because levels indeed have a crushing effect. The later the game, the stronger it becomes. So this playstyle has a high ceiling and can be played long-term.

Of course, the downside is that Si Kongzhen is a tier-5 card, with only six copies in total. It's likely not easy to get in a game, especially if there are competing players. If you don't get this hero card or it comes very late, the lineup will lack strength and you might be eliminated early.
