Hello everyone, I am Youxi Xiaodi.
The new hero Lu Yana has been available for a while. To be honest, many people are paying attention to this hero. Her strength has been healthy since launch, stabilizing at around 50% from the beginning. I originally thought it would rise later, but it has basically not changed much, indicating that this is her final strength level. To be honest, such a hero has never appeared in Honor of Kings before, and I feel that Lu Yana can be called the most standard hero template. So what makes Lu Yana's design so good? It starts with her mechanics and balance of strength. Let's talk about it in this episode.

Let's first talk about the advantages. The biggest feature of this hero is high damage in the mid-to-late game and strong burst in team fights. This makes the hero very enjoyable to play once she is developed, because she doesn't require overly complex operations. Unlike heroes like Gongsun Li, who even after developing need frequent umbrella swapping and displacement, Lu Yana doesn't need any of that. Just chase and auto-attack, and sometimes you don't even need to be within the screen range; her ring blades can achieve long-range kills.
As for the disadvantages, there are of course many. Early game damage is very low. The hero's mobility is decent, but she essentially has no dash, so once caught, it's hard to escape. This mechanism even gives a false impression that she is like a mobile shooter, but actually she is more of a stationary shooter. Therefore, this hero must be in a pressure-resistant state in the early game, and only after economic development and equipment completion can she have some output.

The benefit of this design is that although the pain points are obvious, the satisfaction after development is also obvious. Therefore, these early shortcomings become completely acceptable, unlike some heroes who are painful from start to finish. Moreover, even a developed Lu Yana has counterplay space, and she is not brainlessly strong. Because Lu Yana basically relies on ring blades for damage, once she is controlled, even a small control can interrupt her output rhythm. Furthermore, her own health is very low, so she needs to replenish status after taking a little damage. Thus, the opponent's experience is not too outrageous, preventing her from being banned too often.

Looking at the current data, Lu Yana's performance is relatively stable. The win rates in all segments and peak matches have already exceeded 50%, and there is no trend of further significant increase. Therefore, her strength is not too exaggerated, and there is no risk of being overpowered. As a new hero, she has already established a foothold. Moreover, this hero's positioning is a standard shooter template. The playstyle doesn't need to be too fancy: stabilize development in the early game, avoid being targeted too harshly, find a good position in mid-to-late team fights to deal damage. The ultimate is essentially an enhanced state; it doesn't matter whether it blinds or not, it needs to be saved for the opponent's key targets to unleash considerable strength.

For players who want to climb ranks, Lu Yana is a shooter you can play with confidence. So, what do you think of Lu Yana's design? Feel free to share in the comments.
That's all for today. If you think it's good, feel free to give a like to support. If there's anything you want to say, ask, or see, leave your footprint in the comments, and I'll check them all~
