Hello everyone, I'm Xiaodi from Gaming.
The King's experience server has received a major update, basically testing content related to season S45. Among the changes, the adjustment to Shao Siyuan is quite surprising. On one hand, Shao Siyuan's strength is not low, especially in high-level matches, with a win rate above 50% in top-tier games, and while lower-tier matches are a bit weaker, overall it's okay. On the other hand, Shao Siyuan's Tushan Honghong skin just returned during the Qixi Festival through an external wish event, costing around 2000 vouchers, and before it even settled, the experience server changed it again? Let's take a look. "Experience server content does not represent final values and design."

First, let's talk about the most core change: the gold income. Shao Siyuan's passive originally granted a stable 20 gold, now it's directly reduced to 6 gold, but it gradually recovers as level increases. At max level, it returns to the original level, and after level 15, it even gives 1 more gold than before. However, the efficiency of accumulating gold in the early and mid game is indeed much lower.

However, as compensation, the second skill's gold retrieval has been changed to 100% from both kills and assists, which is quite friendly. After all, supports rarely get kills, so if only assists count, it's much better, and gold income can be greatly increased. That's why the passive income was reduced so much. As for whether it's a buff or nerf, we'll have to test it to know.
Then there are changes to damage and healing numbers. The first skill's healing increased, but the combo heal ratio for self and allies decreased. The second skill now has additional damage on hit target, but the trigger and continuous damage are nerfed. The third skill is similar: damage reduced, healing increased. There's also a change to the gold scaling ratio, from 1 point to 1~7.5 points, meaning the later the game, the higher the healing and damage ratio from gold.

Overall, it feels like reducing damage output while strengthening gold and healing capabilities. This is the general direction. In simple terms, the changes aim to make Shao Siyuan assist teammates properly, like Yao and Duolia, rather than stealing gold everywhere or dictating the tempo. It's a shift in the hero's core positioning, from a more assassin/engage-oriented support to a functional support.
Moreover, a key point is that the AP scaling has been increased, meaning Shao Siyuan will need more AP items to boost her healing. So the current build and playstyle may change significantly. This is actually beneficial for low-tier games, because most players are not very familiar with Shao Siyuan, and this change can strengthen her ability to protect teammates. Then Shao Siyuan can just follow teammates and cast skills. But for high-tier games, it has some impact, as the upper limit is considerably weakened.

So, what do you think of this Shao Siyuan adjustment? Will it change how you play her? Let's discuss in the comments.
That's all for the content. If you found it good, feel free to give a like to support. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave a comment, and I'll check them all~
