The regular season for the 2025 KPL Summer Split is now over. The final week didn’t offer many highly anticipated matches, as a lot of teams had already clinched playoff berths! Nevertheless, there was no shortage of entertaining teams and players!
TTG was the first team to qualify for the winners’ bracket, but surprisingly, after advancing, they started getting shut out in matches! In their three matches against Wolves, TTG showed no desire for revenge whatsoever. They lost the first two rounds in the same way as before, and the third round was just a repeat. In fact, the more they lost, the more familiar they seemed with defeat.
Jiaxin was completely outplayed by Xiaopang, looking like a bronze-level bot in solo training. In the first game, Yang Jian faced off against Jing and ended up with a 4000+ gold deficit. In the third game, Mengqi went against Dasi Ming and was nearly 6000 gold behind. Their final match against AG Super Play was even uglier. Since so many people claim TTG is purposely tanking to face WB, fans are really curious how TTG, with six losses, will perform against WB’s four-game winning streak.
Last week, when DRG took down the K Division teams, fans thought they had finally woken up. But judging by their performance against the Shanghai duo this week, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Against RNG, they barely scraped by, winning 3-2 after their opponents reached match point first. Their match against EDG was even worse—just terrible.
Menglan was thoroughly outplayed by Lingyun all game, racking up more deaths than UUG’s Runrun to top the ADC death leaderboard. Even on the overall leaderboard, Menglan managed to surpass Wuwei and Guiqi, ranking ninth in the league. With their star ADC dying so much, DRG’s season is pretty much over!
KSG finished this week with one win and one loss, ultimately securing fifth place in Group S. While KSG fans were busy speculating about a lane transfer, Luobo started to show some impressive plays, but the other side of the map ran into trouble this week. In the match against LGD, the only game KSG lost was due to Yaodao Sun Quan’s critical mistake, which also cost Luobo a small MVP award.
In the match against WB, facing Zimo’s Yaodao was like being hit with a debuff—over four games, his damage output was low, but his average deaths shot up, dying ten times across four games. With a Yaodao like this, KSG has little hope for the future!
The event to get the new Xi Shi skin for free has started, so just complete the missions and you’ll definitely be able to redeem it! Actually, Xi Shi is a very popular mage this season! She doesn’t have a weak phase throughout the game because her strength relies entirely on her first skill. Xi Shi’s first skill forces enemies to move, making it an incredibly powerful control ability. Once an enemy is caught by Xi Shi’s first skill, she can make them move wherever she wants.
Once she reaches level four and activates her ultimate, not only does her second skill have a short cooldown, but her first skill can force enemy heroes to move twice. Even super mobile heroes like Diaochan can only take the hits when pulled by Xi Shi, with no chance to show off their skills.
