IG2-0 swept FPX, completing their revenge! Theshy’s Rumble scored a 1v2 kill on two opponents, while Care’s Ekko underperformed.

During the third stage of the LPL, IG and FPX clashed in a BO3. After two battles, IG dominated FPX 2-0, claiming their eighth victory and avenging their last defeat against FPX.

In the first game, IG’s lineup was Sion top, Trundle jungle, Annie mid, and Sivir with Rell bot; FPX’s lineup featured Aatrox top, Wukong jungle, Ahri mid, and Kai’Sa with Rell bot. During laning, Rookie’s Annie solo killed JiaQi’s Kai’Sa in the bot lane, securing the first blood for IG. Early on, IG took down the first bottom turret, secured three dragons, and gained a 4K gold lead.

In the mid-game, IG initiated fights aggressively in the jungle. Meiko’s Rell controlled JiaQi’s Kai’Sa; although Jwei’s Rell counter-engaged with his ultimate on multiple enemies, Gala’s low-health Sivir survived. IG exchanged zero deaths for four kills and secured the Rift Herald. At 22 minutes, Sheer’s Aatrox was caught off-guard from behind by Wei’s Trundle and killed solo, allowing IG to claim the Earth Dragon soul. At 24 minutes, FPX tried to start a fight bot but failed to kill Rookie’s Annie. With IG reinforcements arriving, Gala’s Sivir dealt massive damage, turning the fight into a 1-for-5 team wipe against FPX. Ultimately, IG pushed through the jungle to the high ground, killing four FPX members and winning the first game in just 27 minutes. Gala’s Sivir topped the damage charts for the game, while Sheer’s Aatrox led FPX’s damage.

In the second game, FPX chose Gwen top, Xin Zhao jungle, Ekko mid, and Aphelios with Tahm Kench bot; IG responded with Rumble top, Poppy jungle, Kassadin mid, and Lucian with Braum bot. Early lane clashes saw a 2v2 fight top, where IG’s top and jungle secured kills on FPX’s counterparts, resulting in a 0-for-2 exchange and Wei’s Poppy getting first blood. Theshy’s Rumble then solo killed Sheer’s Gwen and later pulled off a 1v2 double kill on FPX’s mid and jungle. Meanwhile, the mid and bot lanes engaged in a 2v2 that ended 2-for-2, and IG’s bot duo with jungle killed Sheer’s Gwen, leading to a team wipe. IG held a 5K gold lead early on.

In mid-game, IG’s mid lane killed Jwei’s Tahm Kench, securing a dragon soul. At 20 minutes, IG took the Rift Herald without any damage. At 22 minutes, Rookie’s Kassadin solo killed Care’s Ekko bot lane. By 24 minutes, IG easily secured the Chemtech Dragon soul and then killed Care’s Ekko, enabling IG to take the first Baron. At 26 minutes, FPX attempted to engage under Rookie’s Kassadin turret, but Rookie turned the fight with his ultimate on four enemies. IG wiped FPX and claimed the victory.
