A note on the LPL's buyback of RA esports club seats

Since the alliance of the LPL, the league and the club have experienced the rapid development of League of Legends esports together, and jointly created the hard-won situation of the current LPL. At the same time, we are also constantly paying attention to the feedback of the audience and friends on the viewing experience. In order to make the LPL game more exciting and compact, the league decided to open the buyback of club seats.

The buy-back of club seats is entirely voluntary, and the league has negotiated with the clubs applying for the buy-back after a comprehensive assessment. At present, the RA (RARE ATOM) esports club has reached an agreement with the league that it will no longer participate in LPL and LDL-related events from January 1, 2025. Subsequently, the alliance will assist the team to properly settle the players and complete the follow-up buyback.

The RA team, formerly known as the VG team, officially entered the LPL on January 5, 2021, when the official name change and brand conference was held in Wuhan.

In the past three years in the LPL, RA's best result was the top six of the LPL Summer Season in 2021, and RA also made it to the LPL Bubbling Tournament that year.

Now that RA has officially withdrawn from the LPL, RA's players will also enter the free market, and the LPL will become 16 teams.
