AL surprisingly lost 0-2 to WE! Shanks was solo killed, and Karis’ Akali danced through the fight.

During the LPL third stage BO3 clash between WE and AL, after two fierce matches, AL shocked everyone by losing 0-2 to WE, marking their sixth loss and giving WE their third victory!

In the first game, WE’s composition featured Rumble top, Poppy jungle, Galio mid, and Varus paired with Nautilus bot; AL had Alora top, Wukong jungle, Annie mid, and Aphelios with Rell bot. In the laning phase, both teams contested the Rift Herald, with Kael’s Rell being instantly eliminated. WE secured the Herald, traded two for three kills, and gained a 1K gold lead early on.

In the mid game, both sides fought over the dragon. Tarzan’s Wukong initiated the teamfight, but Monki’s Poppy ult knocked AL’s two carries away. WE killed two AL members and secured the dragon soul. At 31 minutes, a river skirmish broke out; Tarzan’s Wukong engaged again, Kael’s Rell was quickly taken down, AL tried to resist, but Cube’s Rumble cleaned up, and WE executed a 3-for-5 team wipe. At 32 minutes, AL forced a kill on Taeyoon’s Varus, but WE countered with a 1-for-4 fight, securing the ocean soul and Baron Nashor. At 35 minutes, Tarzan’s Wukong was caught and killed in the jungle. WE took the initiative to start Baron, AL rushed to contest and killed Taeyoon’s Varus, but overextended; WE countered, killing AL’s two carries and then AL’s jungle and support, securing the first Baron. Finally, at 39 minutes, WE killed three AL members at the base and claimed the first game victory. The highest damage dealt in the first game was by Cube’s Rumble on WE’s side and Hope’s Aphelios on AL’s side.

In the second game, AL’s lineup was Gwen top, Jarvan jungle, Taliyah mid, and Rakan with Xayah bot; WE fielded Jayce top, Xin Zhao jungle, Akali mid, and Lucian with Leona bot. During laning, the bot lane 2v2 resulted in an even trade with WE securing first blood. Shortly after, Karis’ Akali dove top lane to solo kill Shanks’ Taliyah. Early on, WE secured two dragons, but AL won a 1-for-4 teamfight at the dragon pit, leaving both teams’ gold nearly even.

In the mid game, WE killed Shanks’ Taliyah again and destroyed the first turret in the bot lane. At 21 minutes, WE took the dragon soul uncontested. AL attempted to push mid, but after WE secured another dragon, they collapsed on Gwen (Saint Gun) and killed her. WE then went for Baron; although AL managed to kill Cube’s Jayce, Karis’ Akali entered and cleaned up, with WE killing four AL members and securing Baron. At 27 minutes, AL made a desperate effort to kill Karis’ Akali, but WE’s others cleaned up, executing a 1-for-5 team wipe and taking the ocean soul. At 28 minutes, WE started Baron to force a teamfight. AL arrived, but Shanks’ Taliyah was instantly killed. Karis’ Akali then maneuvered through the fight, and WE wiped AL again, securing the first Baron. Ultimately, at 30 minutes, WE killed four AL members and claimed the match victory.
