Greetings to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Hub.
The LPL Peak Group’s grand finale saw a battle between BLG and IG. In the first match, The Shy’s Rumble was instrumental, using spectacular ultimate control in the early to mid game to establish dominance, though IG slipped up later, letting BLG equalize.

Subsequently, GALA dealt massive damage, and WEI’s critical initiation in a key moment secured the final kill, leading IG to win the opening game.
The Shy’s Rumble shines as IG gains early advantage
During the first game’s ban-pick phase, IG secured the Rumble system on the blue side. Combined with Wukong’s level six initiation burst, they formed a mid-game composition with strong potential. The bot lane locked in Yuumi and Alistar to provide extra burst damage and engage, making the team composition very well balanced.
Editor’s note
BLG responded with a Pantheon-Jarvan mid-jungle duo, paired with a frontline top laner in Lillia, and a strong bot lane with Aphelios and Rell to establish lane dominance. BLG’s strategy focused on quick support and initiation to create favorable fights and snowball toward victory.
At the start of the match, BLG’s bot lane struggled and was pushed back by IG, allowing Wei to secure the first dragon. The first blood broke out in a top lane skirmish where The Shy performed excellently, heavily damaging Lillia and forcing Bin to use his flash. Then, The Shy landed a crucial ultimate to lock down BLG’s top and jungle, securing a kill on Shadow.
However, The Shy’s decision to push lanes with low health gave BLG a chance to counterattack with support, resulting in a one-for-one trade. IG secured three Rift Scuttlers, maintaining an early resource lead.
At 11 minutes, during the contest for the second dragon, The Shy teleported first but was caught out deep and killed first.
IG’s lead falters, both teams return to an even footing
Bin’s follow-up engage was unfortunate, as his skills were interrupted and he died. IG managed to secure the dragon by holding the position. A chase on Rell failed to get a kill, and BLG’s counterattack also couldn’t take down Annie. The skirmish ended without further casualties.
At 15 minutes, IG invaded the jungle and successfully killed Shadow.
BLG reinforcements arrived to avenge Shadow by killing Wei, but IG’s squad quickly responded. The arrival of GALA and Rookie turned the fight around, with Yuumi outputting massive damage to achieve a 2-for-4 trade.
At 16 minutes, IG executed a flawless team fight in mid lane. WEI’s Wukong flanked from behind while The Shy cast an impeccable ultimate upfront. Joined by jungle and support, they instantly wiped out BLG’s two damage carries. IG secured the dragon’s soul, but their two carries overstepped by diving towers and were both killed by BLG.
Facing a disadvantage, BLG kept pressing, trapping and killing The Shy in the bot lane. A mid lane team fight erupted, where IG made a mistake trying to take down the mid turret. GALA was caught out on the flank, and BLG counterattacked, killing four players including The Shy, resulting in a team wipe.
After the shift in momentum, BLG caught Rookie and secured the first dragon of the game.
WEI’s initiation secures the final kill, IG takes the first game
At 26 minutes, a mid lane team fight broke out. BLG’s Lillia attempted to engage but was caught out and killed. IG maintained formation and dealt heavy damage, with The Shy and Rookie unleashing large AoE bursts that heavily damaged multiple BLG members. After killing one, IG grouped to take Baron. BLG chose to fight it out but lost the Baron despite winning a 3-for-4 trade in the ensuing fight.
After regrouping, both teams contested the dragon. Shadow secured it and retreated. IG launched a bot lane push, killing Rell and then Aphelios, causing BLG to lose their bot lane inhibitor turret.
At 32 minutes, WEI invaded BLG’s jungle with a brilliant initiation, locking down and killing both BLG carries with teammate support. This decisive team fight ended the game’s suspense. IG’s strong push closed out the match in 33 minutes. The final kill score was 19-19, but IG emerged as the winner.
In my opinion, although both teams made many mistakes, IG clearly controlled the overall game. They capitalized on their advantages but also gave some away due to errors. The performances of The Shy, GALA, and WEI were outstanding, while BLG’s showing was relatively weak, relying mostly on IG’s mistakes to stay in the game.
Bin’s Lillia remained underwhelming, and the bot lane Aphelios-Rell performed poorly. Overall, IG deserved the victory in this match.
