During the LPL third stage Knight's Road BO5 between FPX and NIP, after a tough 5-game series, NIP overcame FPX with a 3-2 score to advance!

In the first game, FPX's lineup was Gwen top, Xin Zhao jungle, Galio mid, and Varus with Rakan bot; NIP fielded Rumble top, Vi jungle, Ryze mid, and Sivir with Rell bot. Early on, FPX's top lane caught Vi (naiyou) and Jiejie on Xin Zhao secured first blood. FPX pushed down the first mid turret early, gaining a 1K gold lead.

In mid-game, FPX aggressively took the Rift Herald before NIP could arrive, securing it successfully. A team fight ensued where doinb's Ryze first killed JiaQi's Varus, then NIP counter-engaged, winning a 3-for-5 team wipe against FPX. At 24 minutes, FPX secured the dragon that put them on match point. At 29 minutes, sheer's Gwen stole the Infernal Drake, while NIP attempted Baron but lacked damage. After FPX took the Infernal and wiped NIP, they secured their first Baron. Ultimately, at 32 minutes, FPX wiped NIP on their high ground and won the first game. The highest damage dealer was leave on Sivir.

In the second game, NIP's lineup was Anivia top, Wukong jungle, Orianna mid, and Zeri with Leona bot; FPX had Renekton top, Skarner jungle, Taliyah mid, and Aphelios with Nautilus bot. The early game was balanced with both sides trading evenly and economy nearly equal.

In mid-game, both teams fought over the dragon. Niket's Leona initiated on three players, allowing NIP's dual carries to clean up with a 4-for-0 exchange. At 23 minutes, during another dragon fight, Jiejie's Skarner ult targeted NIP's dual carries, but FPX turned it around with a 1-for-5 team wipe, securing the Rift Herald. At 28 minutes, FPX killed naiyou's Wukong and took the dragon that put them on match point. At 33 minutes, NIP started a fight mid, but Jiejie's Skarner was instantly burst down. NIP scattered FPX's formation, winning a 2-for-4 fight and securing the match point dragon and their first Baron. At 39 minutes, a mid-lane skirmish saw leave on Zeri die quickly, but NIP's top and mid fought to the end, winning a 3-for-4 exchange and claiming the pure Infernal Dragon soul. At 41 minutes, NIP quickly secured their second Baron. Finally, at 44 minutes, NIP initiated on FPX's high ground, wiped them, and won the second game. The MVP was awarded to doinb on Orianna.

In the third game, FPX fielded Alistar top, Sejuani jungle, Yone mid, and Lucian with Braum bot; NIP had Sion top, Viego jungle, Viktor mid, and Jhin with Renata bot. During laning, naiyou on Viego secured first blood, also winning a kill in a mid-lane team fight. Early on, NIP took the first bottom turret and gained a 1K gold lead.

In mid-game, FPX capitalized on doinb's Viktor pushing lanes and secured the Rift Herald. At 26 minutes, FPX started Baron, NIP rushed to contest, but FPX engaged and killed naiyou's Viego, securing their first Baron. Later, at 33 minutes, a solo kill on Sion led to FPX securing a second Baron and finishing the game soon after.

In the fourth game, NIP's lineup was Aatrox top, Jarvan jungle, Akali mid, and Sion with Sona bot; FPX had Cho'Gath top, Zed jungle, Ahri mid, and Kai'Sa with Bard bot. During laning, naiyou on Jarvan solo killed Jiejie's Zed, granting NIP first blood. NIP then won several small skirmishes and secured two dragons, gaining a 2K gold lead early.

In mid-game, both teams fought around mid lane. Naiyou's Jarvan engaged but was forced to flash out. Then Niket's Sona ult missed, doinb's Akali was charmed and killed by Ahri, but leave on Sion cleaned up. Together with a counterattack from solo kill's Aatrox, NIP secured a 3-for-5 team wipe and took the match point dragon. At 24 minutes, thanks to leave's strong Sion, NIP wiped all five FPX players on their high ground and won the fourth game. MVP was given to leave on Sion.

In the fifth game, FPX's lineup was Jax top, Poppy jungle, Annie mid, and Xayah with Taric bot; NIP had Hecarim top, Nidalee jungle, Sylas mid, and Jinx with Leona bot. During laning, naiyou on Nidalee solo killed Jiejie's Poppy in the jungle. FPX's bot lane duo also killed NIP's bot duo. Later, a river skirmish saw FPX take dragon. Even when down a player, Taric's healing enabled FPX to fight back fiercely, resulting in a 0-for-5 team wipe of NIP. FPX led by 3K gold early.

At 18 minutes, Jiejie's Poppy was caught and killed. Then both teams fought over dragon; doinb's Sylas stole Leona's ultimate, and leave on Jinx cleaned up with a 4-kill spree as NIP wiped FPX and took the dragon. Afterwards, NIP claimed the Rift Herald. During another fight, leave dealt massive damage, but FPX responded with a 1-for-5 team wipe of NIP. At 24 minutes, FPX found an opportunity to collapse on leave's Jinx from mid and top, killing her instantly and taking the match point dragon. At 26 minutes, NIP quickly took their first Baron, pushed to high ground, wiped FPX, and completed a comeback victory.
