In the 2025 Valorant Champions global group stage A group losers' final, GX beat XLG 2-0, earning the second advancement spot from group A.

In the first half, XLG opened with a four-round winning streak; in round 5, ara's Cypher secured a triple kill in the bathroom for the first score. In round 8, ara and westside got back-to-back kills, helping the team complete a comeback on the eco round. GX then scored three consecutive rounds, but XLG won the last two rounds of the half, leading 8-4 at halftime.
In the second half, GX won the pistol round. In round 15, XLG defended site A; although they won, the defuse time was only 0.01 seconds left. Round 16 was XLG’s eco round, where coconut and Rarga held off GX's attack at site A to secure the round. Round 19 saw XLG successfully control the B site around the second floor. In round 22, Viva achieved a four-kill to stop GX’s push at site A. Round 24 had happywei defending the small dark room; GX entered the site via the bathroom to plant the spike, but although NoMan won the fight, the defuse time was insufficient, leading to overtime. In overtime, GX won two consecutive rounds to take map one.
Map 2: Bind
Defenders XLG: Jett, K/O, Omen, Sova, Yoru
Attackers GX: Omen, Sova, Yoru, Jett, K/O
In the first half, GX took the pistol round. XLG won the bonus round in round 3, with Viva leading the team to victory. XLG then won two more rounds; in round 5, GX executed a mid and A short flank, successfully planting and winning the round to overturn the score. In round 10, happywei held aggressively near A site, hiding around the corner and listening for GX’s rotation, then swung out to eliminate three flanks. XLG regained control of the match in round 7 and went on a five-round winning streak. The first half ended with XLG leading 7-5 over GX.
In the second half, GX won the pistol round. After XLG won the bonus round, they took two more rounds consecutively. In round 17, GX performed a classic variation of aggressive mid pressure, disrupting XLG’s attack and completing a comeback on an eco round. In round 19, Fickless used smoke and flash to clear with a triple kill, winning the round. GX then went on a five-round winning streak to reach match point. In round 22, Viva secured a triple kill on site A to reduce the deficit. In round 23, XLG attempted a mid-to-B split but were stopped by ara’s Cypher defending B main; only Viva remained mid trying to enter B, but ara eliminated Viva to win the round. GX won map two and advanced to the playoffs.
