WBG0-2 lost to BFX and got eliminated! Giving away leads recklessly, LCK teams swept the top 3 spots

In the Asian Invitational BO3 between WBG and BFX, after two intense games, WBG was defeated 0-2 by BFX and eliminated, missing out on the later stages. In both games, WBG had early advantages but made numerous mistakes in the mid to late game, causing them to lose promising positions. Meanwhile, all three LCK teams advanced to the finals, claiming the top three places in the Asian Invitational.

In the first game, BFX fielded Renekton top, Xin Zhao jungle, Orianna mid, and a bottom lane of Ezreal with Renata Glasc; WBG chose Qiyana top, Jarvan IV jungle, Ryze mid, and Kai'Sa with Lulu bot. During laning, Xiaohu’s Ryze solo killed Vicla’s Orianna, giving WBG the first blood. The teams traded back and forth afterward; WBG’s bot lane executed a successful four-man gank on two enemies, but BFX won a team fight against the Rift Scuttler, scoring a 1-for-4 exchange and pushing down WBG’s first mid turret. The economies remained roughly even.

In the mid game, WBG quickly took down Urgot. At 25 minutes, BFX grouped five mid to kill WBG’s top laner and AD carry, then went for Baron. WBG’s mid and jungle arrived to contest but were killed, allowing BFX to secure the first Baron. Around 30 minutes, BFX repeatedly caught WBG’s mid and top players near Baron pit, then wiped WBG on their inhibitor turret, securing the first game victory. The highest damage dealer in game one was Diable’s Ezreal, while Xiaohu’s Ryze led damage for WBG.

In the second game, WBG picked Ornn top, Wukong jungle, LeBlanc mid, and a bot lane of Rakan with Xayah; BFX chose Rumble top, Volibear jungle, Taliyah mid, and a bot lane of Zoe with Alistar. During laning, WBG’s jungle and support ganked mid, killing Vicla’s Taliyah, and Tian’s Wukong secured first blood. The teams fought fiercely afterward, with WBG taking Rift Herald and BFX claiming one dragon, leaving WBG ahead by about 1k gold early on.

At 24 minutes, BFX first caught breathe’s Ornn in the bot lane, then killed Tian’s Wukong in the jungle. In a subsequent jungle skirmish, BFX’s Zoe cleaned up two WBG players and secured the Ocean Soul. At 27 minutes, a river fight broke out where breathe’s Ornn was instantly burst down; BFX scattered WBG’s formation, winning a 0-for-4 fight and taking the first Baron. Finally, at 29 minutes, BFX executed a 1-for-4 team fight at the inhibitor turret and clinched the match victory.
