Each year, Riot launches a World Championship MV and theme song to energize fans. The theme this year is "A New Chapter Begins, All Contenders Will Be Remembered," sung by the famous artist G.E.M. Many LPL fans were excited about the release of "Sacrifice," but what disappointed many BLG supporters was that the S15 World Championship MV did not feature any individual shots of BLG players. Many BLG fans are puzzled as to why Riot didn’t include any personal clips of BLG players.

Some viewers believe that this S15 promotional video is a compilation of iconic moments from S1 to S15, so it’s understandable that there are no individual shots of BLG players. Although BLG were last year’s runners-up, they have never won a world championship. In contrast, every player featured in the S15 promo has either a World Championship or MSI title, such as G2 mid-laner caps, IG top laner TheShy, T1 mid-laner Faker, and RNG’s Uzi during his prime.

Many BLG fans, however, are unhappy with this explanation. Since the theme is a highlight reel from S1 to S15, other LPL world champions should have appeared in the MV. Yet, watching the entire S15 World Championship MV, you’ll notice that EDG and FPX don’t appear at all. Meanwhile, even FPX’s conquerors like G2 mid-laner caps and AD carry Perkz have numerous personal shots. Many LPL fans think Riot is deliberately promoting caps.

According to insiders, Riot releases Hall of Fame skins in different regions every year. Based on the current Hall of Fame schedule, next year it will be Europe’s turn. Among European players, G2 mid-laner caps is undoubtedly the most popular and honored. Therefore, many LPL fans joke that this S15 promo is actually "caps’ Hall of Fame video." (Personally, I don’t understand why caps, who hasn’t even reached the knockout stage in recent years, has so many shots in the promo.)

The MV features many iconic moments.

Personally, aside from the abundance of caps footage, I think the MV is well made. TheShy has many legendary moments recreated in the MV, such as his classic Lucian top and river Aatrox plays. Besides TheShy’s clips, LOL legend Faker also has many impressive scenes replicated, like Faker’s Zed clutch against Ruler. Additionally, at the end of the MV, Riot pays tribute to the late S1 champion player “Shushei.”

Of course, the quality of the MV shouldn’t be judged solely by BLG fans. What do you think of the S15 promo? It’s worth noting that the current favorite to win, GEN, also has very few shots in the MV. The only appearance of Ruler is as a background for Faker’s Zed. So Riot probably didn’t intentionally target BLG. I personally feel BLG has fewer world titles, so Riot gave them fewer individual shots. (Do you like the S15 theme song?)
